How to apply for free school meals and clothing grants
The person making the claim must be the person in receipt of the benefit, and only one application form is needed for all the children in the family you wish to claim for.
There are three ways you can apply:
- download the application form on this page, complete it and send it to us
- contact us for a hard copy of the form to fill in
- make your application through your child's school - ask at your school office
What should you send in with your form?
Please send us your form and a full copy of your most recent benefit award letter or full Universal Credit Online Journal Statement (we cannot accept bank statements).
If you take your form and benefit award letter to a school, the details will be photocopied and the documents returned to you immediately.
Please do not send any original documents to us by post. Always send copies. You can email documentation to [email protected]
