Car Parks (Off-street parking)
Overview
- most car parks charge during the daytime (roughly 8:30am to 6pm, Monday to Saturday, and afternoons on Sundays)
- some car parks charge all year, others only spring to autumn (late March to late October)
- many have a maximum stay limit and a “no-return” rule (you can’t come back and park again within a set time)

Kirk Ports (Law Road)
- charges all year
- first 45 minutes free
- up to:
- 75 mins = £1
- 90 mins = £2
- max stay: 90 minutes
- no return within 90 minutes
Glebe (St Andrews Street)
- charges spring to autumn only
- first 15 minutes free
- then £0.50 every 30 minutes
- max stay: 5 hours 15 mins

The Lodge and Imperial car parks
- charges spring to autumn only
- £0.50 every 30 minutes
- max stay: 5 hours

Castle Hill (Tantallon Terrace)
- charges all year
- £0.50 every 30 minutes (up to 5 hours)
- can stay up to 23 hours
- no return within 8 hours
Haugh Road and Sewage Works
- charges all year, 24 hours
- first hour: £0.50
- then £0.50 every 30 mins (up to 8 hours)
- after that: £15 up to 24 hours
- max stay: 24 hours
- no return within 24 hours
Library car park
- free
- only for registered users
- max stay: 2 hours
Community Centre car park
- free
- mainly for registered users and Sunday church use
- very short stay: 15 minutes
On-street parking
General rules:
- restrictions apply:
- Monday to Saturday (8:30am to 4pm – you can park for the maximum amount of time stated which varies by location, but charges only apply from 10am)
- Sunday afternoons (1pm to 4pm)
