Community facilities update

Our offices - John Muir House and Brunton Hall

Our office at John Muir House, Haddington, is currently open to the public from 9.00am to 1.00pm, Monday to Friday. Our office at the Brunton Hall, Musselburgh, is open to the public from 10.00am to 4.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Key points:

  • everyone will be asked health question checks in relation to COVID-19 before being allowed to enter the building
  • access is through the main door only
  • anyone coming into these buildings will be asked for their name and contact details under the Test and Protect system - and should wear a face covering

Most people will have a pre-booked appointment. If you don't have an appointment - and you need to speak to someone urgently - you will be seen but might have to wait.

Community buildings

A number of community buildings, including halls and centres, remain mothballed. Read our update published on 4 September 2020.

Libraries

Get information about  current opening hours and services from our East Lothian libraries directory - including which libraries are closed to the public.

Read the guidance for visiting our libraries.

Our Home Library Service is for anyone who is elderly or who needs to stay inside for health reasons.  If you are aware of anyone who has no-one to collect books for them through the click and collect system - we can have books delivered to them.  Email [email protected] identifying who the person is who needs assistance with contact details for them.”

Coastal and countryside car parks

All of East Lothian’s coastal and countryside car parks are now open with parking charges re-instated at all coastal car parks where they normally apply.
