Accessibility at elections

Voters who require reasonable adjustments will be able to choose anyone who is over 18 to accompany them in the polling station to help them vote.  Poll staff can also assist, ask the Presiding Officer if you would like help.

Voters can use any text-to-speech apps, torch or magnifier they have on their phone to assist them in reading the ballot papers, if required.

All polling places will have equipment and support to assist you, including; tactile voting devices for visually impaired voters, braille ballot papers, pencil grips, magnifiers, large print ballot papers.

Audio ballot papers

All polling places will have a range of equipment and support available to support blind and visually impaired voters.

Audio ballot papers are available to use along with the tactile voting aids which will be available in all polling places. Poll staff will be able to assist.
