This is a regular payment made to you by the Government once you reach state pension age. The amount you receive is dependent on your national insurance contributions.
You may be able to top up your pension if you are on a low income or have little or no savings.
This benefit can help towards your rent or housing costs if you are on a low income, out of work or have little or no savings. The amount of Housing Benefit you receive depends on your circumstances.
You may also qualify for a Discretionary Housing Payment to cover any shortfall in your Housing Benefit due to any special circumstances, for example ill health.

You may qualify for help to pay your Council Tax if you are on a low income, out of work or have little or no savings. The amount of Council Tax Reduction you receive depends on your circumstances.
Support for Mortgage Interest
If you are a homeowner and receive Pension Credit, you may be able to get a loan to help towards interest payments on:
- your mortgage
- loans you’ve taken out for certain repairs and improvements to your home
