Bereavement Support Payment
This payment is made to the spouse or civil partner of the deceased as a one-off payment and as a weekly allowance for 18 months. The payment is made at one of two rates depending on whether you are responsible for children. You must be below state pension age to claim this payment and your spouse or civil partner must have made sufficient National Insurance contributions.

Funeral Support Payment
This payment may be made for people on a low income who live in Scotland and are receiving certain benefits. This payment is to help pay for a funeral. The payment will only cover certain expenses
