Join us for an exciting literary programme exploring historical themes, links to our past and a long association with witches and fascinating tales!

  • all events for East Lothian Libraries Book Week Scotland 2021 are free of charge
  • we are limited to 20-25 spaces - so booking is essential 
  • we will hold waiting lists for events so if you can't attend an event please contact the relevant library to let us know - so we can give your space to someone on the waiting list

East Lothian's Provost launches our Book Week Scotland programme followed by an 'Evening of Witchcraft' with Dr Ciaran Jones.

Sara Sheridan joins us to discuss her latest book The Fair Botanists - a trip through the streets and Botanic Gardens of 1800s Edinburgh.

News From North Berwick 

Travel back in time at a reimagining of the historical gathering at St Andrews Kirk as our own East Lothian Provost retells the news from the historic witch trials. 

Tuesday 16 November 2:00pm to 2:45pm - meet in front of St Andrews Old Kirk, North Berwick.

Booking is not required. This is an outdoor event so please dress for the weather.

Local Poet Ruth Gilchrist brings our celebration of East Lothian's heritage up to date by asking about its impact on women today and celebrating the women in our lives.
