Community Justice Partnership
In 2017, the Scottish Government brought in a Community Justice Act.
Community Justice is about everybody at being home or work or at an activity without crime, or being made to feel uncomfortable by others behaviour. It is also about making sure that people who have been in trouble with the police or courts have a chance to make amends and be part of their communities again.
In East Lothian, the council, police, NHS, prison, third sector and other organisations form a Community Justice Partnership to work out how this could be done across the county. A three year plan was created and we are now in the second year of the plan.
