Carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out later this month
Work is scheduled for carriageway resurfacing on the A6093 Hardgate and High Street and Market Street and Victoria Terrace, Haddington to start on Thursday 15 February for approximately 7 days (excluding weekend), weather permitting.

Cabinet member for Environment, Cllr Norman Hampshire, explained:
“In order to comply with current Health and Safety Legislation, it will be necessary to close sections of the road during the construction process. The work will be undertaken in four phases between the hours of 09:30 and 16:30 to minimise disruption to traffic.
“A diversion will be in operation and fully signposted. A shuttle bus service will follow the diversion route until connection is made with the normal bus service at A199 Haldane Avenue There will be NO bus stop provision on the High Street, the nearest alternative stop will be Court Street.
“Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times and businesses will be open as usual.
