Details for waste and recycling arrangements over the festive period.

  • Food waste, recycling and non recyclable waste collections

  • Tuesday 25 December collections will take place on Saturday 22 December.
  • Wednesday 26 December collections will take place on Sunday 23 December.
  • Tuesday 1 January collections will take place on Saturday 29 December.
  • Wednesday 2 January collections will take place on Sunday 30 December.

Please remember, we will only collect materials presented in the recycling and waste containers provided by us.

Garden waste collections

There will be no garden waste collections between 22 December and 6 January inclusive. For your next collection date in January, view your collection calendar.

Christmas trees

Real Christmas trees can be composted by taking them to a Recycling Centre or presenting them beside your brown bin on garden waste collection dates in January.

Recycling Centres

Our Recycling Centres are open seven days a week, from 8.30am to 4.15pm over the winter months.

However they will not be open on 25-26 December and 1-2 January, and will close at the earlier time of 2pm on Christmas Eve and Hogmanay.

Please remember to present all containers at the kerbside by 7am on the day of collection.
