Council raises action following antisocial behaviour complaints

An interim Antisocial Behaviour Order (ASBO) has been granted against Aaron Boyle (26) of The Wynd, Ormiston following an application to Edinburgh Sheriff court by East Lothian Council.

The court was presented with details of the alleged antisocial behaviour of Mr Boyle which included shouting and swearing in a manner that caused discomfort and distress to others at properties in Ormiston and Newbigging, Musselburgh.

The terms of the ASBO prohibits Mr Boyle from behaving in a way that causes or is likely to cause alarm or distress to others and includes shouting, swearing and disturbing neighbours in The Wynd, Ormiston and Newbigging, Musselburgh.

A council spokesperson said:

"The interim ASBO served on Mr Boyle has resulted from repeated complaints from residents in both Ormiston and Musselburgh who have been alarmed and disturbed by his behaviour. The council’s Safer Communities team worked closely with Police Scotland colleagues to respond to complaints and gather the evidence to present to court."
