Complaints of behaviour results in full ASBO

An Antisocial Behaviour Order (ASBO) has been granted against Kevin Yipp (39) of Newbigging, Musselburgh for a period of two years following an application to Edinburgh Sheriff Court by East Lothian Council.

The court was presented with details of the alleged antisocial behaviour of Mr Yipp which included shouting, swearing and banging doors at a property in Newbigging, Musselburgh

The terms of the ASBO prohibit Mr Yipp from behaving in an antisocial manner including shouting and swearing and continually kicking the main stair door housing his property. He is also prohibited from having more than two visitors within his property at any one time, except those who are there in the course of their employment.

Mr Yipp had received an Interim ASBO earlier in 2018.

A council spokesperson said: “East Lothian Council will progress cases to the full ASBO stage where there is evidence that an individual continues to behave antisocially, despite all previous interventions. The council will continue to work alongside Police Scotland in robustly addressing reported antisocial behaviour within East Lothian.”
