Full ASBO for 24 months served on Musselburgh man

An Antisocial Behaviour Order (ASBO) for a period of 24 months has been granted against Dean Conner (33) of Links Avenue, Musselburgh following an application to Edinburgh Sheriff Court by East Lothian Council.

The court was presented with details of the alleged antisocial behaviour of Mr Conner which included shouting, swearing, and fighting within a property at Links Avenue, Musselburgh and disposing of items and bags of rubbish outwith a domestic bin within the communal garden area.

The terms of the ASBO prohibits Mr Conner from behaving in an antisocial manner including shouting and swearing at neighbours and other local residents in and around Links Avenue, Musselburgh. He is also prohibited from having more than two visitors to his property at any one time, except those who are there in the course of their employment.

Mr Conner received an Interim ASBO earlier in 2018.

A council spokesperson said: “There is a significant history of antisocial behaviour complaints made against Mr Conner, which has caused considerable alarm and distress to others. East Lothian Council, with the full support of Police Scotland, will take the strongest possible action against those who behave in an antisocial fashion. This includes applying to the Sheriff Court for Antisocial Behaviour Orders against those whose persistent behaviour causes alarm and distress to others.”
