Port Seton Library will soon open again on Saturday mornings, following feedback received from customers.
A council spokesperson said: “We value feedback from our customers and have re-considered the opening hours for Port Seton Library and aim to reopen Port Seton Library on Saturday mornings.
“We are in the process of looking at staffing arrangements for this and so will confirm a date for reopening on a Saturday as soon as possible.
“Going forward, we will review the levels of usage of the library on a quarterly basis during 2018/19 to determine Saturday opening hours in the longer term.
“We will work with members of the community who wish to develop usage of Port Seton Library.
“Our Library Service will continue to focus on reading and literacy support to babies, preschool and primary school children and their families, digital support for all, accessibility to appropriate resources for more vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals, and support for our older residents.”
