Free Period Products

Free period products available across East Lothian

No one should feel embarrassed or miss out on school or work because they don’t have the sanitary products that they need.

That’s why we’re making free sanitary products available to anyone who needs them. Research suggests that over 137,000 children in the UK have missed school because of period poverty, while 1 in 10 girls can’t afford to buy what they need. The financial impact in households where more than one person needs sanitary products is higher. We don’t think this is fair.

  • Shopping vouchers are available through our partners CAB Musselburgh, Fundamental Foods and Volunteer Centre East Lothian (VCEL) so you can collect the items you choose along with your regular shopping.
  • If you're caught short while you're out and about in East Lothian our libraries, community centres and public buildings have supplies in their toilets that you can use.  You can use this map to help locate the building nearest to you.

If you have any comments about our scheme, or would like further information, please email us.
