If you’re worried about money and living costs, you’re not alone. Anyone can find themselves overwhelmed by financial pressures, for a number of reasons, and this can impact on your health and your wellbeing. If you’re struggling to pay your bills, you may be eligible for help.

Council Tax telephone enquiries

At this time of year, with the issue of 55,000 annual bills, it’s an extremely busy time for the team. Please bear with us and we will deal with all enquiries as quickly as we can.

We understand customers may be anxious to know when their enquiry will be dealt with. We ask that customers be patient and not contact the team to check the status of an enquiry or application. This generates additional work and can contribute to added delays.

To help us deal with your telephone enquiries more effectively, the Council Tax team takes calls at the following times:

Tuesdays from 9am to 1pm
Thursdays from 9am to 1pm
Fridays from 9am to 1pm

Lines are closed on Mondays and Wednesdays.
