Our team of friendly, helpful Registrars are on hand to guide you through getting married in East Lothian and can carry out your special ceremony in one of our two historic venues: The Adam Room, Haddington, and The Council Chamber, Dunbar Town House - or in a venue of your choice.
Part of one of the town’s oldest buildings, Dunbar Town House is renowned for its distinctive witch’s hat-shaped tower and clock. It has presided over the administrative affairs of the town for over 400 years as the home of the town council, court room, jail, tourist information office, town library and most recently a museum and gallery.
Guests can enjoy the changing art and historical exhibitions on the ground floor before moving to the magnificent and historic wood panelled Council Chamber for the marriage or civil partnership ceremony.
To book and/or view this venue, ask any questions, or to discuss any bespoke requirements for your big day email: haddingtonregistrars@eastlothian.gov.uk or call: 01620 827 308.
All of the preparation and initial document submissions can be made online and via email.
Coming to the UK to get married from overseas? We will be delighted to help you through the process and welcome you to our beautiful part of the world!
