This page explains when a licence is required for children taking part in performances or activities such as television, theatre, modelling and sport. It outlines application requirements, including timescales and exemptions, and provides guidance and access to application forms.
If your production or activity includes children under school leaving age you may need a licence to ensure your child's safety and wellbeing are protected.
Productions and activities include:
Applications must be received at least 21 days before the production takes place.
For amateur productions, where a group of children are not being paid for taking part, a body of persons approval can be sought instead of applying for individual licences.
