Voting took place on 4 May 2017 to elect 22 councillors across 6 wards.

Political standings: Labour 9, Conservative 7, SNP 6.

Across all six wards a total of 42,194 cast their votes in East Lothian (52.04% of registered voters). Total electorate of 81,077.

Ward 1 (Musselburgh)

4 councillors have been elected:

  • Stuart Currie - Scottish National Party
  • Andy Forrest - Scottish Labour Party
  • Katie Mackie - Scottish Conservative and Unionist Party
  • John Williamson - Scottish National Party

Ward 2 (Preston, Seton and Gosford)

4 councillors have been elected:

  • Lachlan Bruce - Scottish Conservative and Unionist
  • Neil Gilbert - Scottish National Party
  • Willie Innes - Scottish Labour Party
  • Fiona O’Donnell - Scottish Labour Party

Ward 3 (Tranent, Wallyford and Macmerry)
