Ward 4 (North Berwick Coastal): council election results

Voting took place on 5 May 22 to elect 22 councillors across 6 wards.

The election used the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system where voters ranked candidates in order of preference rather than a single cross. Voters chose to vote for as many or as few candidates as they liked.

Three councillors have been elected in Ward 4 (North Berwick Coastal):

  • Liz Allan (Scottish National Party)
  • Jeremy Findlay (Scottish Conservative and Unionist)
  • Carol McFarlane (Scottish Labour Party)

First preference votes were as follows:

  • Liz ALLAN (Scottish National Party) 1,360
  • Alison CARTER (Scottish Family Party) 29
  • Jacq COTTRELL (Scottish Green Party) 901
  • George Henry COWEN (UKIP) 18
  • Jeremy FINDLAY (Scottish Conservative and Unionist) 1,389

  • Carol MCFARLANE (Scottish Labour Party) 1,447
  • Stuart SMITH (Scottish Liberal Democrats) 425
