Substance use support
Access information, advice, support and treatment relating to substance use including drugs and or alcohol.
The Contact Service provides a direct point of contact for all substance use related services.
The Contact Service is your first point of contact for information, advice, support and treatment options relating to drug or alcohol. The service is available to anyone over 18 years living in East Lothian or Midlothian.
Call or text anytime: 07843 339 958 Monday to Friday 9am to 9pm
At all other times, there is an option to leave a voicemail message, or send a text and a member of the team will contact you as soon as possible.
What happens when I call?
On calling the The Contact Service individuals, or concerned family members or friends, can engage in a confidential, trauma informed, person centred conversation focussed on addressing their concerns and needs.
From there the individual or caller will be directed to the most appropriate service or combination of services to gain appropriate support.
If the issues raised concern opioid use, an individual may be offered a same day / next day appointment, assessment and treatment, with the offer to commence Opioid Replacement Therapy on the same day.
