A warm welcome to East Lothian Community Hospital

East Lothian Community Hospital officially opened its doors in 2018.  

Located on the former Roodlands Hospital site, the hospital provides a wide range of outpatient services (detailed below), with the aim of bringing care closer to home.   

There are additionally 6 inpatient wards providing support for Step-Down Care, Medicine for Elderly Ward, HBCCC (Continuing care for Elderly Ward), Dementia Ward, Orthopaedic Rehabilitation and Lothian Specialist Rehabilitation supporting amputee and neuro-rehabilitation.

For visitors, there is an onsite café provided by the Royal Volunteer Service, parking facilities, a sanctuary room, and outdoor walkways.

Please note, East Lothian Community Hospital does not have an accident and emergency department.
