Other council tenancy queries

Council garages are available for people to rent. There is usually a waiting list for garage rental. Applications can be obtained from local area offices - for contact details see box on left of screen.

Please note that, if you are not a current council tenant, you will be charged VAT on top of the rental figure. Council tenants are exempt from paying VAT.

If you intend to run a business from a council garage, you require the council's permission. Please see the next page 'Can I run a business?'.
