People who leave the armed forces have a range of housing options in East Lothian
When you leave the Services
In addition to the housing choices generally available, specific housing can be provided for ex-servicemen and women.
A range of independent charitable housing organisations exist and more information about the housing or help they offer can be found through the organisation, Veterans Housing Scotland.
Within East Lothian there are special housing units in Dunbar (2) Haddington (2) and Longniddry (33). There are also 221 properties situated in Edinburgh.

In conjunction with the services, we have developed an Armed Forces Community Covenant, which explains our responsibilities towards ex-service men and women.
