We want all East Lothian children and young people to have the best life.
To do this, we need to create a plan about how we can deliver the best possible supports and services to East Lothian’s children, young people and their families.
The Children and Young People’s Service Plan will run from 2020 -2023, listing all the things we need to do to improve the lives of all East Lothian’s children and young people.
We realise that Covid 19 has had a huge impact on the lives of children, young people and their families and we want to make sure the plan takes account of what needs to be done to support families during this time.
We need to decide what our priorities will be for children and young people’s services in East Lothian for 2020 – 2023.
We have looked at information and feedback from children, young people and families. We think we should focus on:
- improving children and young people’s mental health and wellbeing
- supporting parenting and strengthening family resilience
- reducing inequalities for our children and young people
