The Countryside Team

The Countryside Team comprises East Lothian Council Countryside Rangers, working with Officer staff covering, Access, Biodiversity and Countryside matters under the direction of the Countryside Team Manager. Countryside Rangers and Officer staff come from diverse backgrounds but share strong knowledge of wildlife, natural history, and environmental issues, along with a commitment to public engagement.

East Lothian Countryside Team manage 31 sites across 2,400 acres and 47 km of coastline, many of which are nationally or internationally designated for their natural importance.
