Home library service

Our home library service is for anyone who is elderly or who needs to stay inside for health reasons. If you know of anyone who can't collect books and doesn't have anyone who can collect books for them, we will deliver their books.

  • Adult Art Club - every Friday from 10:30am to 11:30am
  • ASN Parents and Carers Support Group - first and second Friday of the month from 9:30am to 11am
  • Book Group - last Monday of the month from 2pm to 3pm
  • Bookbug sessions (for under 5's) - Mondays at 9:15am and Wednesdays at 10am. Last Saturday of the month from 10:30am to 11am. Advance booking required for all sessions.
    • Italian Bookbug - first Saturday of the month from 10:10am to 10:40am
  • Cancer Support Group - first Saturday of the month from 11am to 12:30pm
  • Craft Group - every Thursday from 10am to midday (knitting, sewing, embroidery, needlepoint, quilting, crochet)
  • Crafty Crew - third Saturday of the month, 10am to midday. Free crafts for all the family to enjoy - no booking required
  • Dementia Carers' Support Group - every Thursday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm
  • Family games available every Saturday
  • Hearing aid support and servicing - third Tuesday of every month, drop in from 10am to midday
  • Help with e-resources drop in - Fridays 9am to 11am
  • Lego club - Friday from 2:30pm to 3:30pm (under 8s must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Manga club - first Saturday of the month from 11am to midday (for ages 10 years and above, an adult will need to attend the first session with you)
  • Pokemon Club - last Saturday of the month from 11am to midday (under 8s must be accompanied by an adult)
  • Scrabble, Dominoes and Cards Club - drop in Tuesdays 11am to 12:45pm

Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 14 or over at all times, including during events and activities. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in the library. Due to the multiple demands on staff time and attention, library staff are not able to supervise children in the library. The library is a public space that may be accessed by anyone, and children and young people under the age of 18 remain the responsibility of their legal guardian while on library premises.
