Home library service

Our home library service is for anyone who is elderly or who needs to stay inside for health reasons. If you know of anyone who can't collect books and doesn't have anyone who can collect books for them, we will deliver their books.

Regular Events

  • Bookbug sessions (for under 5's) - every Tuesday at 11am. Advance booking is required
  • Knit and Natter - every Friday from 10:30am to midday
  • Saturday Book Group - every second Saturday of the month from 10:30am to 11:30am
  • Lego Club - every Friday from 2pm to 4:30pm
  • Code Club - sessions run throughout the year, please see social media or contact Gullane Library for updates
  • Dog Friendly Tuesdays - well behaved dogs are welcome in the library every Tuesday afternoon, as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult!

Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 14 or over at all times, including during events and activities. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in the library. Due to the multiple demands on staff time and attention, library staff are not able to supervise children in the library. The library is a public space that may be accessed by anyone, and children and young people under the age of 18 remain the responsibility of their legal guardian while on library premises.
