Home library service

Our home library service is for anyone who is elderly or who needs to stay inside for health reasons. If you know of anyone who can't collect books and doesn't have anyone who can collect books for them, we will deliver their books.

  • Bookbug sessions (for under 5's) - every Monday at 11:15am, Wednesday at 10:30am and every Saturday at 10:30am. Advance booking required for Monday and Wednesday sessions
  • Adult board game club - every Tuesday at 10:30am
  • Evening book group - last Monday of the month from 5:45pm to 6:45pm
  • Fixing for a Future sewing workshops - last Monday of the month from 4pm to 6pm. Please contact the library to book
  • Haddington Active Memories group (aimed at men over 60) - every second Tuesday morning from 10:30am to midday. Please contact the library for future dates
  • Lego club - every Saturday, drop in between 11am and 1pm
  • Lunchtime book group - last Thursday of the month from midday to 1pm
  • Tyne and Esk poetry group - second Monday of the month from 2:15pm to 4:15pm in the Star Room
  • Walk and talk book group- first Wednesday and first Friday of the month. Meet in the library at 10am, return to library anytime between 11am to 11:30am
  • Pokémon Club – drop-in every Saturday from 2pm
  • Knit and Natter – every Friday at 10am to midday

Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 14 or over at all times, including during events and activities. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in the library. Due to the multiple demands on staff time and attention, library staff are not able to supervise children in the library. The library is a public space that may be accessed by anyone, and children and young people under the age of 18 remain the responsibility of their legal guardian while on library premises.
