Home library service

Our home library service is for anyone who is elderly or who needs to stay inside for health reasons. If you know of anyone who can't collect books and doesn't have anyone who can collect books for them, we will deliver their books.

Regular Events

  • Book group - second Saturday of the month at 10:30am.
  • Bookbug sessions (for under 5's)- every Thursday at 10:30am and Saturdays at 10:30am - booking required
  • Code club (for kids aged 7 and up) - every Saturday at 11am to midday - booking required
  • Craft with Company - every Tuesday from 10am. Please bring your own craft materials
  • Dungeons and Dragons (juniors) - Friday afternoons - fully booked at the moment but please contact the library to register your interest
  • Dungeons and Dragons for adults - Monday evenings 4:30pm to 6:30pm. Fully subscribed at the moment but please contact us to register your interest
  • Junior Gardening Club - Fridays 2:30pm to 3:30pm for children 5 and up
  • Learn computer and iPad basics - available on demand - please call or email us to book
  • Stay & Play - every Thursday and Saturday from 11am to 11:30am.
  • Dog Friendly Mondays - well behaved dogs are welcome in the library every Monday, as long as they are accompanied by a responsible adult!
  • RNID hearing aid maintenance - drop-in sessions for anyone experiencing issues with their hearing aids or that has questions about hearing - first Saturday of every month from 1:30pm to 3:30pm

Children under the age of 8 must be accompanied by a responsible person aged 14 or over at all times, including during events and activities. This is to ensure the safety and wellbeing of children and young people in the library. Due to the multiple demands on staff time and attention, library staff are not able to supervise children in the library. The library is a public space that may be accessed by anyone, and children and young people under the age of 18 remain the responsibility of their legal guardian while on library premises.
