Active Travel strategy documents

The Local Transport Strategy (LTS) has been prepared by East Lothian Council to cover the period from 2018 - 2024. The strategy sits within a complex planning and delivery hierarchy and has been developed to be compliant with all relevant policies, nestling below both national and regional guidance. Whilst the strategy focuses upon the local context, and issues which the council has the powers to influence and change, it does not ignore the more strategic, long-term issues which will require partnership working with other industry bodies shown below to deliver the objectives set out in the strategy. The main aim of the LTS is to provide a mechanism for clean, green and safe travel patterns across the county and beyond.
