Cross East Lothian Active Freeway

The exact alignment of the Active Freeway through Haddington has not yet been established, and the current designs will meet Haddington in the East at the turn-off to Amisfield Garden, from where there is a route into the town by quiet roads and paths. In the West, the extent of the current design is as far as Haddington Retail Park from where there is a shared use path towards the town centre, or users can join the Longniddry - Haddington path which follows the line of the old railway.
