Wallyford park and choose

To avoid the hassle associated with driving into the centre of Edinburgh, why not use the new park and choose facility near Wallyford railway station?

The facility has over 300 free car parking spaces, plus 13 disabled spaces and ten cycle parking slots. 

Accessibility and safety

The facility is fully accessible, with a bus-only lane and two new pedestrian crossings.

To ensure your safety, the parking area is well lit and covered by 24 hour CCTV.  

How do I get to Edinburgh from Wallyford park and choose?

Buses

The following buses run regularly from the facility to Edinburgh:

Trains

The facility is located on the North Berwick railway line, which serves the following:

  • Edinburgh Waverley
  • Musselburgh
  • Wallyford
  • Prestonpans
  • Longniddry
  • Drem
  • North Berwick   

Most trains run between North Berwick and Edinburgh Waverley, although peak-time services continue on to Edinburgh Haymarket.

Occasional services also continue on through to Glasgow Central railway station.

The service generally runs:

  • hourly between 7am and 7pm
  • half hourly during peak times and on Saturdays
  • as a reduced service on weekday evenings and Sundays
