Acorn Infant Family Centre

Acorn Infant Family Centre (previously Olivebank Child and Family Centre) is East Lothian's only Child and Family Centre working on a referral only basis with families facing multiple adversities. 

We focus on working with parents and infants from pregnancy to 2 years of age. The service tailors interventions to individual families from home visits, group work and one to one focused work both within the centre and out with to support families to thrive to their full potential. We are free to families living in East Lothian who meet our criteria.  

The service offers tailored support through group programmes, one-to-one work and home visits, helping families build skills and improve wellbeing. 

We deliver groups such as:

• Mellow Parenting
• Antenatal Peep
• Peep Learning Together Programme
• Baby Massage
• Bookbug
• Self-Esteem
• Fitness
• Walk and Talk

One to One work may include:

• Parents Under Pressure (PUP)
• Video Interaction Guidance (VIG)
• Parent Infant Interaction Observation Scale (PIIOS)

How you can access Acorn Infant Family Centre services

To access these services, you will need to be referred to East Lothian's Internal Provision Panel. You can be referred by:

• your health visitor
• your social worker
• family nurse practitioner
• midwife

Charges

Olivebank services are free to families living in East Lothian.
