Justice Social Work Services in East Lothian aim to reduce the use of prison by offering a wide range of community‑based sentences. Our services consider the needs of people who offend, the impact on victims, and public safety. We also support people after they have been released from prison. 

Justice Social Work follows national legislation and Scottish Government guidance.

The East Lothian Justice Social Work Team includes Social Workers, community payback supervisors, social work assistants, and business support staff.

The team is based at Brunton Hall, Musselburgh, but works across the whole county.
