What is Justice Social Work?

Multi Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA) connects all the agencies that manage offenders, such as the Police and Social Work Services teams. 

MAPPA aims to protect the public and reduce the reoffending of violent and sexual offenders.

MAPPA makes sure the management of offenders is consistent across all council and police force areas. 

It also sets out how offenders should be assessed and how the risk posed by some of these offenders should be managed.
