A warm welcome to East Lothian Community Hospital

Since opening in 2018, East Lothian Community Hospital has attracted a wide range of outpatient services, treating circa 50,000 patients per year.  

It proudly offers a wide range of outpatient services for the wider East Lothian community, as well as a six in-patient wards.

Please be aware, East Lothian Community Hospital does not have an accident and emergency department.

In-patient wards

There are 6 in-patient wards at East Lothian Community Hospital providing:

  • Step-Down Care
  • Medicine for Elderly Ward x 2
  • Dementia Ward
  • HBCCC (Continuing care for Elderly Ward)
  • Mental health residential ward

Visitor Services

  • RVS Cafeteria with open courtyard and seating
  • Patient sanctuary room and garden
  • Free onsite parking, with electric charge points and bicycle racks
