Tackling Climate Change
Scotland has world-leading Climate Change legislation, with ambitious targets to reduce greenhouse gas emissions that cause global warming. East Lothian Council has reduced its carbon emissions year on year, due to many initiatives that are underway across the council.
We are working in partnership with communities, local groups and national bodies to improve sustainability, encourage a low carbon lifestyle and look after our environment.
