Crookston Residential Home
Crookston Care Home in Tranent is a relatively new home that opened in Autumn 2014.
It has 60 residental rooms, each with its own shower and en-suite facilities. Each residental room is furnished with a bed, double wardrobe, chest of drawers, a lockable bed-side cabinet and an armchair.
Crookston consists of 6 wings, each accommodating 10 residents. Each wing has its own common area with lounge, kitchen and dinning area. There is also a large shared bathroom on each floor to allow for assisted bathing.
The home also has secured gardens with walkways and seating areas. Throughout the week, the home organises a range of activities for residents to participate in if they wish.
The local nurse practictioners hold a weekly clinic at Crookston or, if you prefer, you can be seen at the local surgery.
Crookston is close to the town centre in Tranent and is easily accessible by bus and car. Car parking is available on site.
If you would like to know more about the care home you should contact your Social Work Department or alternatively you can contact the care home manager directly. You can also arrange to visit the home directly if you wish.
