Candidates and agents
Constituencies: Edinburgh Eastern, Musselburgh and Tranent, and East Lothian Coast and Lammermuirs
A briefing sessions will be held for candidates and agents in the above constituencies on Tuesday 3 March 2026, 6pm to 7pm.
This will be hybrid, giving participants the choice to attend in person at John Muir House, Haddington, or to attend online.
The session will cover the nomination process, and copies of the nomination pack will be available from this date.

Candidate Security
Police Scotland have produced a range of information for candidates covering issues that they need to be aware of with respect to their personal security.
This includes:

- The Preparation and Use of Safer Areas to Protect High-Risk Individuals
- My Digital Footprint - a Guide Guidance for Election Candidates in Scotland 2026
Police Scotland are hosting online security briefings for candidates between 9 February and 15 April, candidates are encouraged to attend.
