Complaints of abusive and aggressive language and behaviour leads to legal action

An ASBO was issued at Edinburgh Sheriff Court against Natalie Breslin (35) of Brown Street, Haddington prohibiting her from shouting, swearing, using aggressive, abusive or intimidating language or behaviour within her property or on Haddington High Street. The ASBO will remain in place for a period of 2 years.  

Ms Breslin is also prohibited from shouting, swearing, or using threatening, intimidating, aggressive or abusive language or behaviour at a property in Riverside Drive, Haddington and of behaving in a manner that would cause or be likely to cause alarm or distress to residents or visitors of Riverside Drive, Haddington. In addition, Ms Breslin is similarly prohibited from behaving in an antisocial manner within Glenburn Road and Lochbridge Road, both in North Berwick.

A council spokesperson said: “East Lothian Council will take the appropriate legal action against those who persistently behave in a way that causes alarm and distress to others. In this case, our Safer Communities Team worked closely with Police Scotland in collating the evidence used to inform the application to Court.
