A free training opportunity to learn about the new powers communities have to take ownership of land and buildings.

A community training event is being held by The Community Ownership Support Service (COSS) which is a Scottish government funded programme, set up to help community-based groups in Scotland to take on land or building assets for their community.  

What is Community Asset Transfer?

Are there currently publicly owned land and buildings in your community that you think your community could make better use of? Would you like to find out about the new community rights in Scotland that can help you do this?

This free event offers the opportunity to learn about the powers that communities have to take ownership, lease or manage land and buildings. You will be aware of the assets that can be transferred into community ownership and how you go about it. The event will take place in the Brunton Theatre Musselburgh on Saturday, 16 March at 9.30am.
