Iain Clark is new Deputy Lieutenant

Iain Clark has been appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant for East Lothian. Iain, a resident of Musselburgh, served within Lothian and Borders Police for more than 30 years until his retiral in 2012 and currently works part time as an Education Officer for the Scottish Parliament delivering non-political workshops on Parliament process and democracy to school pupils.

An active member of his local community, Iain served on the Executive Committee of the Musselburgh Festival for 9 years, on the Pinkie St Peters Primary School PTA and Parent Council (Pinkie Parents) for 10 years, has been a full member of the Musselburgh Area Partnership since its inception in 2014 and is a trustee to the Musselburgh Charitable Trust.

East Lothian’s Lord-Lieutenant, Michael Williams, said of Iain’s appointment: “I am very pleased that Iain has been appointed as a Deputy Lieutenant as I believe he will be a great addition to the Lieutenancy team and brings with him invaluable inside knowledge of civic life in and around Musselburgh.
