East Lothian Council's Planning Committee has granted full permission for new homes on a site at the southern side of Gullane.
Planning permission in principle had been granted for the site in January 2018 and committee members met today (Tuesday) to agree on the detailed plans and conditions.
The site, being developed by CALA, will include 122 houses and 28 flats. Eighteen of the houses and 20 flats will be affordable housing.
Developer contributions have been secured for education and affordable housing provision as well as contributions to play facilities, sports pitch and any necessary transportation adjustments.
Permission was granted with conditions attached including the submission of a construction method statement with details on what roads can and cannot be used for site traffic; the creation of pedestrian links to the primary school and the rest of the village and a report on the actions to be taken to reduce the carbon emissions from the building process and from the completed development including renewable technology and car charging points where feasible.
