Trading Standards has issued advice to customers of Thomas Cook.

As has been widely reported in the UK media, Thomas Cook has ceased trading as of today, 23 September 2019. This means that all Thomas Cook flights and holidays are now cancelled. Customers in the UK yet to travel must not go to the airport.

The UK Civil Aviation Authority is to launch the biggest ever peacetime repatriation to help holidaymakers' overseas. Customers currently overseas should check the CAA's website for advice and only go to the airport once they have an alternative flight confirmed.

A 24-hour helpline has been set up. The numbers to call are 0300 303 2800 from the UK and Ireland and +44 1753 330 330 from overseas.

For more information please check the Civil Aviation Authority and Consumer Advice Scotland websites.
