NHS Lothian is looking for volunteers to support our work at East Lothian Community Hospital

NHS Lothian is looking for volunteers to support our work at East Lothian Community Hospital.

If you are intersted in supporting your local community or meeting new people and making new friends, think about volunteering at the new East Lothian Community Hospital.  You'll get the chance to learn new things and develop new skills, and use the skills you already have to make a difference to others.

We are looking for volunteers to help as guides to welcome patients and visitors; ward helpers to support staff; visitors to befriend patients; mealtime helpers to support patients and staff with food and drink; information volunteers, and much more.

We're looking for friendly and helpful people who can give a commitment of two or more hours a week, and who also understand how maintain confidentiality and protect patients' privacy. We will give you full training for your role; ongoing support; introduce you to new skills and experiences, and we offer out-of-pocket expenses.

If you are interested, please contact Laura.Wark@nhslothian.scot.nhs.uk or call 07813010332.

Looking forward to hearing from you.
