East Lothian Council has been made aware of a potential water quality issue at Belhaven Bay and has been working with partners.
As a precaution, members of the public are advised against bathing, paddling or playing in the sea or streams here until further notice.
Advisory signs are being put in place.
SEPA is investigating the matter.
