Further re-opening of library services

Following the introduction of a ‘Click and Collect’ service at Haddington Library this will now be offered for Musselburgh Library from Monday 3 August.

Library members will be able to order in advance up to 6 titles and book a suitable collection date and time to pick up the order from the library.

If you are not a library member or don’t have access to the internet, please Musselburgh Library on 0131 653 5130 and a member of staff will assist you.

Opening hours for customers to collect books are as follows:

  • Mon – Fri      10 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 4.30 pm
  • Sat               10 am – 1 pm and 2 pm – 3.30 pm

We would prefer all customers to wear face coverings when they access the building please.

It’s also planned that Haddington Library will re-open for visitors the following week from Monday 10 August. Revised opening hours will be in operation:

  • Mon – Fri      10 am - 1pm and  2pm – 4.30pm
  • Saturday       10 am – 1pm and 2pm – 3.30pm

 and all visitors will be required who come into the library to wear a face covering.

An appointment system will be in place for you to come in and browse as we must limit the number of customers coming into the library.  Please follow the guidance on our webpages.

If you currently have outstanding loans these can be returned to Haddington Library, Brunton Hall, Musselburgh, John Muir House - Haddington and Port Seton Community Centre. All overdue fines have been suspended.
