East Lothian businesses have been supported by more than £36 million in funding from the Business Support Grants scheme, and other funds, administered by East Lothian Council.
Although these schemes are now closed, the support available to businesses from the council won’t stop there. We will continue to update our website with details of other funding streams available plus the direct support always available through our Business Gateway and Economic Development teams. For more information, visit www.eastlothian.gov.uk/supportgrants or email us at economicdevelopment@eastlothian.gov.uk
We are also continuing with our Stay Safe, Support Local, Love East Lothian campaign to encourage locals and visitors to fully explore the range of quality local businesses across East Lothian. A new range of town-specific, spring/summer posters are available to download and print from the council website as well as the existing suite of posters to help businesses with information on physical distancing and hygiene measures etc.
We hope these will be useful to our hospitality venues, non-essential retail and tourist accommodation, all of which can re-open from Monday 26th April, when mainland Scotland moves into Protection Level 3.
