Jim Lamond, Executive Director for Council Resources, has decided to retire from East Lothian Council in July.

Chief Executive Monica Patterson said:

“Having been with us since the re-organisation of local government, Jim has made a significant and long-lasting contribution to the work of East Lothian Council, notably in the role of Head of Council Resources and more recently as one of our Executive Directors.

“I want to take this opportunity to pay tribute to his enormous dedication and commitment to the Council, which has without doubt shaped the successful provision of services for local communities and delivered highly effective financial management.

“He has been a tremendous support throughout the COVID-19 pandemic and in overseeing the successful delivery of elections, most recently last week.

“Jim will be a hard act to follow but leaves the Council in the summer with our best wishes for a long and happy retirement."
